Big Pocket Orchestra (soundtracks revisited)
The Big Pocket Orchestra (BPO) is an instrumental band formed in Barcelona in late-2015. The idea is to pay tribute to music from the audiovisual world, mainly film, TV series and cartoons. The BPO rework compositions by the likes of Nino Rota, Henry Mancini, Lalo Schifrin and John Williams, using samplers and excerpts from film audio and fusing them with new rhythms and musical ideas. The result is a tribute band that serves up a powerful cocktail of swing, big band, rock, pop, Latin, folk and orchestral music.
