Cáit is a shy, lonely nine-year-old girl neglected by her impoverished, dysfunctional and over-crowded family. She meets all difficulties at home and at school in silence, and has learned to pass unnoticed by those around her. When summer comes and her mother is about to give birth once more, Cáit is sent to live with distant relatives.

Jinx Jazz Band (jazz)
Jinx Jazz Band is jazz in its purest state. Traditional Black music from the 20s and 30s, authentic New Orleans sounds from the early 20th century, also known as “traditional jazz”. The band is formed by musicians from different countries joined by their love of jazz.
